About Café Miguel
Un rincón de la CDMX. Offering México city street food bites and premium quality coffee.
Located at 636 Grand St, Brooklyn, NY 11211, Café Miguel operates as a cafe serving Brooklyn in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under coffee shop, restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.
Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 8 am–4 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Café Miguel at (646) 802-9332; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Customers rate it 4.8 out of 5 on Google across 495 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded cafes in Brooklyn.
Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Brooklyn is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Extremely recommended! The best chilaquiles in NYC! The food is clearly made with love, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere captures the best city vibes. The owners and staff are incredibly warm and welcoming. We come here for breakfast almost every weekend, and they always treat us like family. It's one of those special places that keeps us coming back. Highly recommend!

Best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. Every part of the burrito is made with care and attention (so they each take a while to make by the excellent cooks behind the counter) but it is worth the wait. The homemade salsas alone make me want to go back. Also don’t skip the mushroom and nopale tétela and the horchata latte. Cutest backyard, will definitely go back.

Delicious and super sweet staff. The chilaquiles are so good and there is not shortage of sauce. One of the best chai lattes I’ve ever had. Absolutely worth the visit. I could’ve stayed all day ordering more delicious everything’s.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant today! We arrived while traveling, still with our luggage since we hadn't checked in our hotel yet, and Miguel was incredibly kind and accommodating. He went out of his way to securely store our bags right away, making us feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious and blew us away. We especially loved the tortilla soup, the quesadilla de chicharrón with its perfect spicy kick, and the chai latte, which was a delightful surprise. Service was quick and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the area. It's a true gem!

Delicious Mexican food with a special touch! Chilaquiles arent the most traditional way you find in Mexico but they are amazing! Chorizo burrito is maybe the best one I have tried in New York. Fresh meat, and filling ingredients. The only thing I will complain is about the waiting. So if you come on the weekends make sure you have some extra time for the line and order the food. Overall is worth coming here :)
